Welcome to Mughal Arts Foundation, a proud legacy of paper mache crafts that spans generations. Our story began in the early 1900s when our ancestors, M Zaman Mughal, began crafting exquisite paper mache creations in the Kashmir region of India.

His son, Mohammad Naqi Mughal, continued the tradition in 1915, and passed on his passion for paper mache to his own son, Ali Muhammad Mughal, in 1930. Ali Muhammad Mughal carried on the legacy of his father and grandfather, creating stunning paper mache art that was renowned for its beauty and craftsmanship.

Despite the challenges of difficult political times, Ali Muhammad Mughal’s son, Nasir Hussain Mughal, carried on the family tradition and helped to preserve and promote the art of paper mache in Kashmir. His dedication and talent were recognized nationally and internationally, and he was awarded numerous accolades for his achievements in the field of paper mache.

Today, the Mughal Arts Foundation continues to honor this rich heritage and to celebrate the beauty and artistry of paper mache crafts. We are committed to preserving this traditional craft for future generations to enjoy, and to sharing the beauty of our creations with the world.
