Terms of Service
Last updated: September 25, 2026
These terms govern your use of mughalarts.com and any purchase you make from us. By placing an order, you agree to them.
Who we are. Mughal Arts is a sole proprietorship trading name of Nasir Hussain Mugloo, operating a paper mache workshop founded in 1980 in Zadibal, Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, India.
Our products. Every piece is hand-painted and handmade by our artisans. Because of this, small variations in colour, pattern, and finish between the photo and the piece you receive are normal and part of what makes it genuine handcraft, not a defect. Wood grain, papier-mâché texture, and hand-painted detail will vary piece to piece.
Ready to Ship vs. Made to Order. Ready to Ship items are in stock and dispatch in 1–3 working days. Made to Order items are handcrafted after you order and dispatch in 20–45 working days — this is clearly marked on every product page before you buy.
Prices and currency. Prices are shown in your selected currency for convenience; your card issuer’s exchange rate and any foreign transaction fee may cause a small difference from the displayed price. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors before an order is confirmed.
Payment. We accept payment via Razorpay, PayPal, and Stripe. Payment is taken at checkout; Made to Order pieces begin production once payment is confirmed.
Shipping and returns. See our Shipping Policy and Returns & Refunds Policy, both linked in the site footer.
Intellectual property. All designs, photography, and written content on this site are owned by Mughal Arts or used with permission. Our artisans’ designs may not be reproduced or resold without written consent.
Liability. We aren’t liable for delays caused by customs, carriers, or events outside our control. Our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it.
Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir. This doesn’t remove any statutory protection you have as a consumer in your own country (see our Returns Policy for UK/EU withdrawal rights).
