Discover authentic Kashmiri paper mache jewelry boxes, vases and décor — hand-crafted by master artisans in Srinagar, using techniques passed down for generations.

Crafted by Hand, Rooted in Kashmir
Every Mughal Arts piece begins as recycled paper pulp, shaped over generations-old wooden molds, then hand-painted stroke by stroke by our Naqash artisans in Srinagar — a craft tradition dating back to the 15th century.
We work directly with artisan families, ensuring fair wages and keeping this endangered art form alive for the next generation.
Meet Our ArtisansThe Art of Kashmiri Paper Mache Jewelry Boxes
Kashmiri paper mache jewelry boxes are handmade using a centuries-old technique dating back to the 15th century, when the craft was brought to the Kashmir valley. Artisans mould layers of recycled paper pulp over wooden frames, sun-dry them, then hand-paint intricate Chinar leaf and floral motifs using fine squirrel-hair brushes — often finished with real 22k gold leaf. Each box takes several days to complete, making every piece a one-of-a-kind heirloom. Popular as wedding gifts, jewelry storage, and decorative keepsakes, these boxes ship worldwide directly from our workshop in Srinagar.
