A Kashmiri tradition for your tree

Paper mache Christmas ornaments have been made in Kashmir for generations. Each ornament is shaped from paper pulp and painted by hand, so your set will be one of a kind. They also make lovely gifts and stocking fillers.

Questions

When should I order for Christmas?

Ready-to-ship ornaments leave our workshop in 1–3 working days. Made-to-order pieces take 20–45 working days before dispatch, so if you want one before Christmas, order it by early November. Remember to allow time for international delivery.

Is every piece really handmade in Kashmir?

Yes. Each piece is shaped from paper pulp and painted freehand in our family workshop in Zadibal, Srinagar, led by master craftsman Nasir Hussain Mugloo. Because the painting is done by hand, small variations make every piece one of a kind. Meet our artisans.

How do I look after paper mache?

Dust it with a soft, dry cloth. Keep it away from water, direct heat and long hours of strong sunlight, and it will keep its colour and shine for many years.
