These black and gold papier mache tree ornaments add quiet glamour to any festive display. Three papier mache Christmas trees in graduated sizes, hand-painted in gold leaf-and-scroll patterns on a glossy black ground, hung from golden cords.
Handmade in Kashmir
Kashmiri papier mache is made the traditional way: paper pulp is molded by hand, dried, smoothed and then painted freehand by skilled naqash artists. A coat of lacquer gives the glossy finish and protects the painting. No two pieces are exactly alike, so expect small, charming variations from the photos.
How to Display It
Hang your black and gold papier mache tree ornaments on the Christmas tree, along a mantel garland or in a sunny window, where the glossy lacquer catches the light. As a set of three, they make a thoughtful festive gift, a stocking filler or a keepsake to bring out every December.
