This striped papier mache cat ornament is plump, playful and painted with bold tiger stripes. A plump papier mache cat hand-painted with bold black tiger stripes on a soft grey-gold coat, with pink ears, sky-blue eyes and a red nose, hung from a golden cord.
Handmade in Kashmir
Kashmiri papier mache is made the traditional way: paper pulp is molded by hand, dried, smoothed and then painted freehand by skilled naqash artists. A coat of lacquer gives the glossy finish and protects the painting. No two pieces are exactly alike, so expect small, charming variations from the photos.
How to Display It
A delightful gift for cat lovers, your striped papier mache cat ornament can hang on the Christmas tree, a window latch, a door handle or a bookshelf. Tie it onto a present for an extra-special gift tag that will be treasured long after the wrapping is gone.
