Made-to-Order Mughal Garden Scene Papier-Mâché Box – Kashmiri Miniature Art

This hand-crafted Mughal garden scene papier mache box features an intricate Mughal garden and river scene painted by hand on a cream finish. Every piece is shaped from paper pulp, hand-painted and finished with lacquer by master artisans of Srinagar, so no two boxes are exactly alike.

Garden and river scenes recall the great Mughal gardens of Kashmir, and this is one of the most detailed pieces our artisans paint. Our naqash paint each Mughal garden scene papier mache box freehand with fine brushes, then seal it with lacquer for a soft, lasting shine.
